Besign founder Barry Shawn was invited to San Francisco to participate in Photon Dev Day, responding to the event's theme through the event's visual identity project.
This Dev Day took place at The Chapel in San Francisco's Mission District. Built in 1914, this building is now a live music venue, where soaring arched ceilings hold the resonance of sound and witness people gathering for music. Dev Day brought developer exchange into this space, allowing imaginations of technology and the future to unfold within a century-old building.
Photon is dedicated to bringing AI Agents into the communication platforms people use daily, allowing intelligence to meet people within familiar conversations. Departing from this product philosophy, the work utilizes "light" as its visual language, which also echoes the concept of "photon" in the name. Beams of light in different colors converge and stretch in the dark space, extending beyond the frame along their respective trajectories, just as agents enter specific life scenarios through various channels.
In its flow, light gives shape to connections. Fine lines of light gradually merge into bright ribbons of color, leaving motion trails akin to long exposures. The visuals translate the delivery of a message and the unfolding of a conversation into the progression of light; the unfinished trajectories at the edges leave room for connections yet to happen.
"Everywhere" thus lands upon daily entry points: a familiar chat window, a naturally initiated inquiry, a timely response. From the gathering of people in The Chapel to the continuously extending conversations in the digital world, the work depicts the journey of Agents starting from developers' concepts and gradually arriving in people's lives through the flow of light.
