In the field of embedded electronics development, low-resolution displays are still widely used. The challenge lies in designing fonts for low-resolution displays. Developers and designers often face the difficult task of balancing style and readability during the development of interactive interfaces. Bixel 16 was created to address such issues: a Western font specifically designed for small, low-resolution screens. We based it on a 16-pixel height, precisely crafting glyph structures within a minimal pixel grid, maintaining clarity and readability while incorporating a modern technological design language.
Bixel 16 supports all capital English letters, Arabic numerals, and commonly used punctuation symbols and unit displays. Its proportional width design makes it easier to align during typesetting, providing new possibilities for scenarios requiring stable visual order, such as embedded user interfaces, industrial equipment, and human-machine interfaces.
